The prefectural flower of Chiba Prefecture is Rape blossoms.It prefers sunny locations and is known for producing a blanket of yellow flowers that bloom in warm Chiba Prefecture from mid-February to early April.

A variety of flowers

The winters in Chikura district, facing the Pacific Ocean on the Boso Peninsula, are warm and frost-free. Many flowers bloom in the rice fields only during the winter. In summer, they return to being rice fields. This is why it is called a winter staple.
A variety of flowers are grown here, including poppies, rape blossoms, snapdragons, marigolds, and stocks. You can pick flowers from early January to mid-March, when many of the flowers are in full bloom.

Illuminations are one of the seasonal features of winter. Chiba Prefecture has many recommended illumination spots, including the nationally famous "Tokyo German Village"! This winter, why not enjoy the soothing beauty of the lights in Chiba Prefecture on a date, sightseeing, or drive?
You can enjoy the collaboration between the colorful illuminations that bathe Mother Farm in a warm light, and the night view of Tokyo Bay and the evening view of Mt. Fuji as seen from an altitude of 300m.
