Kozaki Fermentation Village is a unique roadside station that primarily sells fermented foods.
The building is divided into four sections. The Fresh Market sells freshly picked local vegetables, fresh fish delivered directly from Choshi Fishing Port, and the new rice variety "Tsubusuke."
The Fermentation Market is packed with local specialties as well as a carefully selected range of fermented foods from all over the country. One of the most popular items is amazake (sweet sake) made by a local sake brewery. Baumkuchen made with amazake has a gentle sweetness.
At Restaurant Oryzae and Hakko Sabo, you can enjoy dishes and cafe menus made with fresh vegetables and fermented foods such as koji, vinegar, and miso.
The station also hosts mini events such as miso-making classes and free amazake distribution.
Physically, the person is at a level where they can fully operate a wheelchair and move around, such as with lower limb paralysis.
In terms of facilities, there are some challenges, such as stairs and slopes within a certain range, but they are at a level where they can be used independently in a wheelchair.
There are two handicapped parking spaces located closest to the entrance in the parking lot.
The parking lot and four facility buildings are on a flat level. The slope at the entrance to the facility building is less than 1/12, and the doors are automatic and at least 90cm wide.
There is one men's and one women's multi-purpose restroom on the first floor, with fixed and movable handrails on both the right and left walls, ostomate-friendly facilities, baby beds, and doorways at least 80cm wide.
Foreign language support (permanent staff), written communication in foreign languages, pamphlets in foreign languages, and communication boards are available.

The nearest station is JR Kozaki Station, but it is not barrier-free. Therefore, we recommend using JR Sawara Station, two stops away. By taxi, the total distance is approximately 12.5 km and the fare is approximately 5,200 yen.
Taking a taxi from JR Narita Station is approximately 17.5 km and the fare is approximately 7,400 yen, but it will save you time.

Wheelchair users can board and disembark at JR Shimousa-Kanzaki Station only on the Choshi-bound (outbound) line. From there, you can take a taxi to Hakko no Sato Kozaki, a 4km journey that costs approximately 2,200 yen.

At convenience store the FamilyMart , you can use services such as parking, E-net ATM, multi-copy machine, Wi-Fi, and tobacco and alcohol sales.
At Roadside Station Hakoo no sato Kozaki, there is one unisex multi-purpose toilet, as well as one multi-purpose toilet each for men and women.
When you arrive at the roadside station, the first thing that catches your eye is a huge wooden barrel. Apparently, this barrel was once used to brew soy sauce and miso paste.
There are small planes on display, and you can even sit in the cockpit, but there are stairs leading up to the exhibition area, so it's not wheelchair accessible.
From Shimousa-Kanzaki Station on the JR Narita Line, you can access the area by paid bus or by the free town-operated circular bus "Kirakira-go".There are only two flights per day for each route.
To get around Kanzaki Town, you can rent bicycles at Yamazaki Y Shop Kitazaki (in front of JR Shimousa Kanzaki Station). Electric assist bicycles are also available.
